Description
1971 Pontiac Firebird Esprit, Numbers Matching 350 V8, Automatic Transmission, Factory Lucerne Blue Exterior (26) with Blue Interior (211), Cold R134a Air Conditioning, Original Date Coded Glass, 18 Inch US Mags Wheels, Clean Underside, and Only 61,000 Original Miles Verified as Actual on the Title.
This Firebird Esprit looks fantastic in its original Lucerne Blue over Blue color combination. The paint has a deep shine, the chrome and brightwork show well, and the body has a smooth finish. The car rides on 18 inch US Mags with 235/35R18 front and 285/35R18 rear tires that have about 90 percent tread. The stance is excellent thanks to being slightly lowered. The underside is clean with solid spring mounts, rockers, and lower quarters. A few small blemishes are present such as faint bubbling near the rear tail lights and a minor crack in the left sail panel, but nothing noticeable from several feet away.
The interior is in amazing condition throughout. The gauges are crisp and clear, the carpet is excellent, the headliner is tight, and the woodgrain trim has no peeling. The seats show very little wear and the dash has no cracks or sun damage. The car has never been smoked in. Interior condition on early second gen Firebirds is often rough, but this one is far above average.
The original numbers matching 350 starts easily, idles smooth, and pulls strong. The car drives great at highway speeds with no vibrations or odd noises. The transmission shifts properly, the brakes stop straight, and the car runs cool. The dual exhaust has a clean, healthy sound. The engine bay is correct, clean, and nicely detailed.
All exterior lights, interior lights, indicators, gauges, radio, wipers, and the key buzzer work. The heater and AC blower works on all speeds, and the AC blows cold with the compressor engaging properly.
